About Social Media Head

We cut through the noise so you don’t have to.

Social media advice is everywhere. Most of it is recycled, vague, or written by people who haven’t actually run an account. Social Media Head exists to be the opposite of that.

What we do

We research every major social platform — TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Pinterest, Threads, Reddit, Substack, and Fanbase — and distill what actually works in 2026 into plain-language, actionable guides.

Each platform guide covers the algorithm in plain English, who the platform rewards, what content formats are working right now, real hook ideas you can use today, monetization paths that are actually viable, and signals that tell you whether the platform is worth your time.

No fluff. No “post consistently and engage with your audience.” We go deeper than that.

Our editorial standards

Every guide on Social Media Head is built from primary research: platform documentation, creator case studies, algorithm analysis, and input from practitioners who are actively publishing on these platforms. We update guides when platforms make significant changes, not on a content-calendar schedule.

We are independently operated. No platform pays for placement or influences our assessments. When we say a platform is declining or rewards a specific content type, that is our honest read of the evidence — not a sponsored message.

Affiliate disclosure

The Recommended Tools page lists tools we believe are genuinely useful for creators and marketers. We earn a small affiliate commission if you sign up through our links. This never influences which tools we recommend or how we describe them — we only list tools we would use ourselves. Our platform guides contain no affiliate links.

Who this is for

Social Media Head is built for creators and marketers who are serious about building an audience. If you are looking for the fastest path to real growth on a specific platform, or trying to decide where to invest your content energy in 2026, you are in the right place.

If you want generic tips about “the best time to post,” there are plenty of other sites for that. We are not one of them.
